Slacking, and gearing up not to slack...

Yes, I know...3 weeks in and I already didn't post once. I'll try and get on the bandwagon again though. Even though I took a one week break, I was awfully productive  during it....at least, I was gearing up to be productive.

This is one of those "calm before the storm" weeks. I'm either going to be ridiculously busy for the next week or two, or it won't be as bad as I'm anticipating. Unfortunately, I'll never know until I'm in the middle of it. Therefore, this week's motto is going to be: hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

1. The winter drama is on Saturday, so rehearsals are going to be crazy. Unfortunately, I'm missing the one tomorrow.

2. Tomorrow, I've got undetermined dinner family plans. In theory, the plans are for 6:30, but the only particular constant here is change...all I know is I'm not going to rehearsal.

3. I HAVE to figure out how the grad school tuition compensation works for ML this week. Not that it has to be paid this week, but that I'd like to know how I'm supposed to arrange payment because these things never end well when handled at the last minute.

4. I need to figure out my book situation for grad school. I know which text book I need, and thanks to my awesome Christmas gift (woo Nook!), I can rent the license for the book for a reduced price. I just need to do some snooping to find out if the "required textbook" is a "you'll use two chapters out of this" or a "you'll actually need to read this whole book." Since I can rent the textbook as a whole or by chapter, that will determine whether I spend $20 or $60...either way it's way better than the $150 the paper textbook would run me!

5. The highlight of my week - TRIVIA NIGHT!!! Love it. Good company, good fun, decent food, and most importantly $1.99 long islands.

6. Cast party for the winter drama is on Thursday. I GET TO BE A PIRATE! Thanks to the most awesome Chris Orth, I get to be this pirate: "Widow Ching Shih- Ship: "The Paradox";  Known as the Chinese Spider she has been married to several powerful well-known pirates who have all turned up dead several months later. She can quickly and silently kill any who disagree with her."
Somehow, I think I can handle this :)

7. Winter drama, I'm sure the cast and crew are going to do well. They've been working really hard and the script is hilarious! I can't wait to see everything come together and watch the audience's reactions!

8. The NHS sponsored 3-on-3 basketball tournament sign up begins this week, so I'll be busy collecting paperwork and everything in between for that.

So, here's to everyone having a good, solidly productive week, and not a drastically overwhelming one! Cheers!
